Born & raised in Milwaukee, The Artist Formerly Known as Fresh G has worked at 860 WNOV, WLUM HOT 102, and WKKV in The Mil as a Mixer/DJ/On-Air Personality (1985-1996) before being christened Mike Love and moving to Chicago to work nights on WGCI (1996-2007). Now, back in the Mil-town for a second stint at V100.7, he returns with a moniker given to him in Chicago and effectively dismissing part of his legacy as Fresh G, one of the greatest Mix DJs the city ever produced. Will he succeed at The Crib as Mike Love and forge a new identity in a new era, or will the outside forces from the past force him to reembrace Fresh G? Stay tuned...
This first-time mommy-to-be sure isn't letting any pregnancy woes cramp her style! Despite complaining of sore feet, expectant mother Tamar Braxton attended her gender-neutral baby shower at Bel-Air Hotel in L.A. on Sunday, May 5 rocking a pair of multicolored, sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti stilettos.
"These are very comfortable," the Tamar & Vince star told Us Weekly. "I'm not going to wear anything that’s gonna make my feet hurt any more than they are. As long as they’re comfortable, they can go with me!"
Joined by her husband of five years, record executive Vince Herbert, the "Love and War" singer revealed that she's luckily been having a fairly easy pregnancy thus far.
"I feel great," Braxton, 35, told Us. "I have a lot of energy. I'm always upbeat and everyone has to tell me to sit down somewhere. But I feel amazing."
"My sisters have lots of advice," Tamar shared. "But I think the one that sticks out the most is be the best mom you can be and always focus on your family first."
But it seems that there is at least one piece of advice that Tamar has not taken from big sis Toni, who said she's been telling Tamar to ditch the heels during pregnancy!
"She's not listening," the "Unbreak My Heart" singer, 45, told Us. "It's just so dangerous. I get it. You want to look cute, but the last few weeks, few months, you have to take it easy!"
As the WE tv star prepares for motherhood, she admits that there is one pregnancy perk she's caving into: Cravings!
"I'm the greediest person in America, of course," Tamar laughed. "I love potato chips! I love a lot of junk food, but I can’t have a lot of salt."
Her hubby Herbert, 43, told Us they're super-eager to welcome their new family addition. I'm elated. I have no words," Vince said, adding of his wife, "I can tell Tamar is going to be a great mom."
Tamar & Vince's first season wrapped in December 2012, but she confirmed on Twitter that they will be back for a second season, with a premiere date not yet announced.
Charles Ramsey, the man who saved three women from his neighbor's house Monday, has been honored by a T-shirt that reads, "Cleveland's Hero — Charles Ramsey," with his likeness.
Hodge's Cleveland, a restaurant in Downtown Cleveland where Ramsey works as a "dish technician," started selling the T-shirts Wednesday. At Ramsey's request, all proceeds will go to Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, the young women he liberated.
"As Chef Hodge mentioned this morning," the restaurant's Facebook page reads, "we're extremely proud of our employee Charles Ramsey for not turning his back on the young women. He's a true Cleveland hero."
Ramsey might not think of himself as a hero but does think he is "the definition of a man."
"You gotta' have some cojones, bro. That's all it's about. It's about cojones on this planet," he told CNN's Anderson Cooper.
After Berry disappeared in 2003, the FBI posted an award of up to $25,000 for information leading to her rescue. Likewise, when DeJesus vanished the following year, the FBI offered another cash reward.
But Ramsey said publicly that he does not want the money because he already has a job and the women he rescued deserve the money more than he does.
“I’ll tell you what you do – give it to them,” Ramsey said.
Ramsey is a trending topic on Twitter and his interviews immediately after the rescue have been Auto-Tuned into songs for YouTube. But he did not seek any of this fame.
He identified himself an American, a Christian and a human being.
"I'm just like you. I work for a living," Ramsey said on WKYC. "There was a woman in distress. So why turn your back on that? My father would've whooped the hell out of me if had found out that I cowered out."

The miseducation of Lauryn Hill will continue behind bars.
A federal judge sentenced Hill on Monday to three months in prison — just after the former Fugees front woman went on a bizarre courthouse rant.
“I was put into a system I didn’t know the nature of,” the 37-year-old hip-hop diva said. “I’m a child of former slaves. I got into an economic paradigm and had that imposed on me.”
She recently coughed up about $970,000 in back taxes and penalties, but still had to face the music in Newark Federal Court.
“I sold 50 million units now I’m up here paying a tax debt,” the Grammy winner and mother of six said. “If that’s not likened to slavery, I don’t know what is.”
The songstress not only played the race card, she played the mommy card too.
“I needed to be able to earn so I could pay my taxes, without compromising the health and welfare of my children, and I was being denied that,” she said without elaborating.
Hill faced up to 30 months in prison for failing to pay income taxes on $1.8 million she earned from 2005 to 2007. Her lawyer asked for probation.
The New Jersey native, who launched a solo career in 1998 with the release of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” was ordered to surrender on July 8. It wasn’t immediately clear where she will serve her time.
Once she’s released, she’ll be placed under three months of house arrest. She was also ordered to pay a $60,000 fine.
Hill released “Neurotic Society Compulsory Mix,” a new single on Friday. She said via Tumblr that she was forced to release the single early because of her legal trouble.
The recluse also confirmed that she signed a deal with Sony Worldwide Entertainment to launch a new label. That label is expected to release music from Hill, the first her first new songs in years.

But the question is What Did You Think Of It? Mike Love says, "Its the best Iron Man yet...but I don't even remember the other 2."
Lil Wayne continues to face the fallout for his crude lyrical reference to the slain Civil Rights figure Emmett Till: he has now been dropped as a Mountain Dew spokesman.
Despite Wayne issuing a public apology for comparing a sex act to Till's death (the teen was tortured and lynched for allegedly whistling at a white woman in 1955), and L.A. Reid, the head of Epic Records, reaching out to the Till family personally the rapper has lost his promotion deal with Mountain Dew. Mountain Dew's parent company, PepsiCo, issued a statement yesterday saying, "We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward," reports the Chicago Tribune "His offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand."
The controversial verse was included in a remix of Future's "Karate Chop" that was leaked online in February. Sarah Cunningham, a publicist for Lil Wayne, said that the split was caused by "creative differences" and declined to speak further on the matter.
Epic issued a longer statement after the track arose. "We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future's 'Karate Chop,' which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics. Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family . . . we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version."
This is the second time in a week that Mountain Dew has pulled its controversial promotion by a hip-hop star. After public outcry this week over Tyler, the Creator's advertisement for the soda – which critics argued enforced racial stereotypes and downplayed violence against women – the company yanked the ad.
But wait...she's older than him!
Shocker! Once again, Chris Brown and Rihanna have parted ways, romantically speaking -- so said Brown during a recent interview with Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie Show.
The "Don't Wake Me Up" crooner, who turned 24 on Sunday, May 5, was detailing his multiple birthday celebrations (in L.A., Las Vegas and NYC) when he was asked about his chronically on-again, off-again love Rihanna, 25.
"Imma do it solo," he said, citing his erstwhile girlfriend's touring schedule, compounded by his own full slate. "I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It's always gonna be love. I'm a grown man, just gotta fast forward."
The love's certainly not gone, he reiterated, but personal and professional commitments make the relationship too difficult right now, he said. "I'm always gonna love that person. I cant be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be," he explained.
Indeed, Brown reunited with his other on-and-off love, Karrueche Tran, during his birthday bash in Hollywood last Friday -- but, alas, according to an onlooker, "He didn't appear to be paying much attention to her and was partying around a lot of girls."
Adds a source close to Rihanna of the latest split: "Of course tomorrow they could be all over each other again, but for now she's done and just living her life and touring. It's how it always is."
