The mother of late rapper Heavy D is setting the record straight about recent rumors surrounding the rapper's estate. Responding to reports that Hev's brother had filed court papers seeking control of the estate, Eulahlee Myers issued a statement assuring everyone that the rapper's assets will be going to his 13-year old daughter Xea.
She says Hev's brother Floyd recently filed a petition in Los Angeles Court so he could sell a condo he and the rapper owned together. Eulahlee calls the process nothing more than a "formality" that was required by the State of California.
She also points out that after Heavy D's death, Floyd was chosen by family members to manage the day-to-day operations of the rapper's estate.
Heavy D, whose real name was Dwight Myers, passed away in 2011 from a pulmonary embolism.
